Nile Boda is a South Sudanese ride-hailing company that focuses on conveying passengers between locations of their choices on a motorbike safely by using the innovative solution, Nile Boda is also designing an asset financing programme that provides an opportunity to young people to lease motorbikes to work as riders.
Suzzanne Gideon, one of the innovators, has been with Nileboda since it was established in 2020. She explained that Nile Boda operates safe bikes with safe riders within Juba City. Most riders are amateurs so they came up with professional riders who have been riding for a long time to ensure safety. During the bootcamp, the team benefitted from mentorship and also received practical skills on how to manage the platform. The application crashed as a result of many people downloading yet it did not have the capacity to accommodate many people. The team believes that being selected to attend the bootcamp is in itself a win because of the equipping that takes place during the period.
