Scholarships
With support from the German Government, over 148 students from the first to the 4th cohorts are beneficiaries of fully paid scholarship. The beneficiaries come from the seven East African Partner States, from across sectors. with the following distribution per country. About …. of these have graduated and 80 percent in full employment.
CENIT@EA seeks for a balanced distribution of scholarships among the Partner Statesof the East African Community (EAC) by assuring a fair, transparent and considerate selection of scholarship beneficiaries in line with official DAAD regulations. The evaluation and selection of the candidates was done by an international Scholarship Selection Committee together with the Admissions Committee and the School of CoCSE at NM-AIST in order to enhance capacity building and promote institutional development.
The scholarships awarded by the project included a monthly living allowance, rent assistance and financial assistance for studies and research, and also covered the tuition fees applied at NM-AIST.
Limited Scholarships
As the CENIT@EA transitions from a project to a self sustaining project, the centre still offers limited scholarships for students across the region. The limited scholarships are advertised every year and selection goes through a transparent and rigorous process. The CENIT@EA is continuously engaging with partners to support successful students from across the region.
